I’m excited to let you know that HB 0980 passed on the House floor 95-0 last week! This wouldn’t have happened without your participation – thank you for making calls and sending emails. Our final bill has gone to the Governor for signature. Since we’ve passed each subcommittee and committee hearing as well as both the Senate and House floor votes without any opposition, we don’t anticipate a problem with the Governor signing this legislation. The effective date of our legislation was changed from October 1, 2013 to July 1, 2013. THANK YOU! Self-Storage Insurance On June 4, 2013 TNSSA was pleased to have SSA President Mike Scanlon join TNSSA, our Lobbyist, and involved legislators for a symbolic signing of our limited-license insurance bill SB1147-HB980 which became effective on July 1, 2013.
